Ann Cole was a prominent denizen of Bent Street in downtown Taos and a marvelous artist working in pastels, collage, and jewelry. As an artist she developed a keen eye and sense of color that permeates all her work. She was also a lover of dogs, especially standard poodles who were her constant companions. Her estate has many of her own works that will be up for auction as well as works by other artists including Thom Wheeler, John Farnsworth, and Josefina Aguillar. Other items include furniture such as a David Mapes bookcase, a Boston chair from SOHOconcept, and an out of this world Mid Century Modern bed; a beautiful array of jewelry including works by Tiffany & Co., Rolex, great poly clay bead necklaces by Ann, and a grouping of amber necklaces; and there will be other fine furnishings and other estate finds – even items for your dog friends. Ann was an interesting and eclectic collector, and this sale will reflect the woman and the things she loved.
