Founded in Switzerland by the Gusset Glockengiesserei Foundry in Uetendorf, this bell was made somewhere in the early part of the 20th century. These bells are individually hand-cast with copper and tin in a unique model mold, sand blasted and polished before being fitted with the custom leather strap. This particular bell was made for practical use by cattle in the Alps. A rare, older bell marked with the Gber. Gusset Uetendorf cartouche and decorated with flowers and garlands. The sound is amazing! The bell is 8″ in diameter, 6″ high with a 44″ strap and weighs 7lbs. 2 oz. Please see the pictures for condition details as the photos are considered part of the description.
