Lupe L. Romero Taos Pueblo Frame Drum

$350.00

Description

Hand-made and signed by Lupe L. Romero of Taos Pueblo. At the foot of The Sangre de Cristo Mountains, in venerable, five-story adobe dwellings, is where the Taos Drum originated. Taos Drum frames are created from wood native to Northern New Mexico – cottonwood, aspen or pine. Drum heads are made from cow, deer, elk or goat hides that have been thoroughly cleaned and scraped to maintain the highest level sound, appearance and durability. This is a great sounding drum that really needs a player! 13.5″x4.5″ Please see pictures for condition details as the photos are considered part of the description.
